About us

Aptium Assist is privately owned and operated in Australia, with staff based in our Sydney, Ho Chi Minh City and Cebu operating hubs.

Founded by the leaders of an Australian financial services business, our team share expertise across financial planning, accounting and mortgage broking - we are practitioners in the same industries that we provide outsourcing assistance in.

The practical and cultural alignment we share with our clients is captured in our philosophy: our back office is your back office.

Leadership by example

Our clients love the fact that as an outsource provider, our heritage is in public practice; we’re qualified, understand professional services firsthand, and our leaders continue to practice in successful professional services businesses - we think of ourselves as closer to a shared back-office than outsource provider.

Jerry Kalogeropoulos (Managing Partner), holds a Bachelor of Business (Finance), Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning, Certificate 4 in Mortgage Broking, and spent 20 years working in licensee management, practice development, strategy and governance roles across financial planning and accounting.

Justin Vu (Operations Partner), holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Accounting (both with distinction), Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning, CFP, with expertise across the entire adviser-to-client journey.

Philip Taaffe (Founding Partner) holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons), CFP, and is a Justice of the Peace. His financial advice practice has grown organically at 20% annually for 18 years, serving over 580 client groups with just three advisers, an EBIT of 62%, and continues to depend on the talented staff of Aptium Assist to operate and grow his advice practice.
